As clock is ticking and there are just few minutes left before the opening of new Armed's Island Chain, we join this event with our latest news coverage.
Just few minutes before server restart, for the last time players had a chance to see old Armed's Islands, players joined a last photographing session and you can view pictures below.
As for now, server currently is being updated to new SA:MP version, so, as we wait for server to re-open, make sure to get latest SA:MP Version (link is below) not to miss the island tour that will be offered by server staff right after the server is back online!

Months and even years of anxcious waiting has finally rewarded us and as we just heard, Armed's Island Opening will be held tomorrow (28.02) around 16:00 CET. This will conclude a huge stage of mapping, discussions and negotiations, a stage that offers us a new and modern look of Armed's Island Chain. In one of our previous articles we already offered you a sneak peek into some features that new islands will include, however in this article we will take a look back into the past and see how previous island update went.
The history of Truckmania's islands begins on 16th May, 2010, when first islands in Truckmania's history, Vanuatu and Long Point, were added. After that it took just 7 months to upgrade this island chain and include the rest of Armed's Island Chain towns. At that moment it was the biggest island upgrade Truckmania had ever experienced and that's where we'll stop and take a closer look at.
It happened shortly before New Year - on 29th December, 2010, 4 days after an announcement made by DiDok. The announcement included a small sneak peek which immediately gained player attention and here you can see some of their first reactions:

RobertNick:
Nice! It will take forever to explore this.
[YTL]Dany:
:o :o :o :o :o :o awesome
XeonraY:
OMG Now THAT is what I call PRO mapping :D
Drebin:
This is f*cking awesome. WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better
MauroTM:
Man That IS F*CKING AWESOME :o
Now we might smile about such reactions as we are used to fairly high mapping standarts these days, however back then it was a big revolution, because before the update there was just a road with fences at sides, two towns and no scenery. But who knows, probably tomorrow we will react similarly, as we will have a chance to see huge improvements.
Anyway, back to the events of the day of island update. After a server restart all players gathered together and were boarded on two buses, one of them driven by DiDok. After that we headed to Los Santos and entered the island chain. As we drove from one town to another, our jaws dropped lower and lower, as everyone was getting more and more impressed by all the new things. And at the same time more and more people kept thinking: ''Omg, I will get lost here and will never find the right way back'', which was true and it took some time to get used to it, as we had not experienced so many roads on islands so far.
Will we feel just as lost, but excited as players back then, we will already see tomorrow, so, make sure to be there on time to not miss this great moment of Truckmania's history.

Last two days sure have been very shocking and surprising because two well-known companies announced their closure.
One of the companies that is closing down due to owners lac of time is EOG - Extra Ordinary Group, a company leaded by Justas. Company existed for approximately 9 months, their staff hauled 15'000 hauls and earned around 400 Million dollars. Everyone will agree that this was a nice and friendly company with a great atmosphere and it definitely will be missed and remembered.
The other company is a lot older and more experienced - FWI (Fletcher World Industries). Company was founded by somebody and Dasdes and closed after 3 year and 5 month and 22 day existence. This company has experienced many Truckmania's player generations as it was the second oldest active company, now leaving this title to Lancaster Hauling Business. With no doubts it was a very professional and well-managed company at some moments even being the leading company in the market, however, recently due to lack of player activity and interest it was forced to shut down.
We would like to thank both companies and their staff for their hard work and taking care of many of our players. And we hope that these bases wont stay empty forever and we'll see new companies soon as unemployment level keeps rising now.
P.S. Some players have begun collecting all FWI old media together in one place - ''memorial''. To view it or to add your own pictures/videos, check the link below:

255th Weekly Convoy - sounds like a normal weekly convoy, but it might be placed in history, as it featured, so far not used, Yankee. It's a big surprise that over 250 weekly convoys have been hosted and none of them used this truck. Truckmania Event Team noticed this and immediately thought of a solution. The number of participants has been in a constant change - starting from 13 and ending with only 7 truckers. The convoy has been hosted by well known admin - Townes, who has been in charge of leading many weekly convoys.
Convoy has started from Blackfield depot, next to dirtring stadium. The route consisted of driving through Las Venturas during the night, which showed a beatiful view of this big city. Then convoy has went to Los Santos, and immediately to Islamorada. The final destination was Boiling Springs, where the convoy has came to an end.
Accidents were unavoidable, as there were many rulebreakers and other unfriendly people who did not want the convoy to move on peacefully. But that's why Pixi, joaom and, in his signature vehicle - Hotdog, Elvade were there! They surely have been a great help at keeping peace.
The convoy has been a huge success, and people were happy to participate in it. This shows how weekly convoys can be great fun to everyone, especially if it's lead by great and professional people. Another great event from TET!

As most of you might know already, at last Armed's Island chain will face some changes and they will be visible as soon as the new SA:MP version is released. Although truckers often drive there and normally you'd think that this area is progressive, globalization process in Armed's Island chain begins only now. Huge construction works are undergoing all over whole Island chain - new highways and roads are being made, new trees planted, new and large territories are being acquired and much more. As population there steadily increases, many towns have expanded rapidly, aswell as new towns have been developed.
After taking a closer look into blueprints together with creator Armed we learned that there will be 7 major cities and 9 towns/countryside areas between them. All old town names will be used, however all towns will have a brand-new look. We weren't able to learn about all the features the new Island chain will include, however we know that there are some notable recreation zones such as VIP Zone, Event meeting areas and also a few of the islands have tracks built around, or through the island, mostly for 'Tourism' and so locals who buy houses in the area do not have to travel massive distances if they are just wanting a little bit of a play, There is also an ongoing project of a 'National Park' so to speak, where there is a dedicated large scale island in progress, which will hopefully have an 'endgame' at the end of each track in the future. It is possible but not yet confirmed that apart from the highways and main roads, there may also be a low-scale-rough 4wd track between the islands in the future if there is enough demand.
These upgrades definitely sound very exciting and will guarantee players a lot to explore and loads of fun, so, we are restlessly waiting to finally put our feet on these new grounds. To satisfy your curiosity a little more, we offer you a little insight through pictures below and we promise you to follow latest developments on this story.

Yesterday, soon after getting his cat Lulu back, Smoke made a shocking announcement that he will chain his cat from now on to make sure she doesn't run away ever again. PETA condems this behaviour, as it is presented to be a cruelty not to let animals live freely. Founder and President of PETA - Inga Oldkirk says:
We cannot allow animals to be treated as mere living beings, they need to have freedom just like humans, and chaining your beloved cat is an example of animal cruelty.
Meanwhile, people are wondering if it's okay to stop your pupils from having freedom. Bryan says:
I do not think this can be called animal cruelty. Sure, it may sound and look bad, but this can save your pet from being hurt or killed. Is this better than chaining your cat? Letting your pet die because of owner's mistakes? I'd say this might be a good idea to chain your pet, it's protection.
PETA, being concerned about this whole situation, said that it will now watch Truckmania News Service for further info about this incident.

Another weekend is here, which means that it is time for Weekly Convoy! This week a unique phenomena was noticed - either it is the approaching Spring air or just naughty birds, but many cats all over San Andreas were stuck on trees without any way to get down. That is why during weekly convoy many volunteer firefighters agreed to help get these kittens down from trees. TNS observed how more than 25 volunteers participated in this generous operation and you can find some pictures below.
Many San Andreas citizens were happy and moved by this operation, and were excited to get their cats back. Palomino Creek resident Smoke shared his emotions on this operation:

I had already lost all my hopes to see my sweet Lulu again. This was such a big miracle, I still cannot hold my tears.
This clearly proves that this was a very needed operation, so, we thank to all the people who organised and participated in it! As for all the cat owners - we suggest to be more careful with your pets and make sure that they cannot get out of your home by accident.
